This week in writing we have learnt about simple and compound sentences.
Simple sentences contain a noun and a verb.
e.g. Tommy went for a swim in the river.
Compound sentences contain two simple sentences joined by a connective.
e.g. Tommy went for a swim in the river, but decided to get out when it started raining
We use FANBOYS to connect the two simple sentences.
